publish with us!

Horrorsmith Publishing is new in the indie horror scene. For the last year, we've concentrated on quarterly anthologies, helping readers find their next favorite author through themed and professionally edited short stories. Now, we're looking to expand our focus toward novellas and novels of mainstream horror and ghost suspense fiction. Preferred tropes are haunted houses, unique creatures, possession stories, gothic, urban legends, cursed items, and ghosts. We are not accepting extreme horror fiction at this time.

Each anthology in the Fear Forge Series is theme-based. We do not currently have an open call, but when we do, the information on the theme will be posted here. We do not accept reprints and are not looking for simultaneous submissions. All works must be the original works of the authors. Absolutely no AI-generated material will be accepted.
Submitted stories should be between 2000 and 6000 words in length with no identifying information on the pages except for the story's title. Please include your name, email address, author bio, PayPal address, pen name, story title, and story word count in the email.
At this time, all stories will be paid at a rate of $0.01 per word after edits have been completed. Illustrations are paid $50 per illustration. Only one per author will be accepted; however, we are willing to accept multiple illustrations from the same artist. All stories and illustrations should be submitted to submissions@horrorsmithpublishing.com
